drawings/ etc.

becoming an atom- graphite on textured  paper.

page from this comic im working on as a personal project. my paintings are usually a long process taking sometimes a few months (due mostly because im not disciplined enough to do a rough color study before and an irregular painting schedule). this work is freeing and fun. i usually just put down the basic shapes lightly in graphic and freestyle the rest in micron. a page takes about an hour or two so i really enjoy the playfulness of the approach. im 6 pages in so far. hopefully ill be able to post a page or two a month while the complete zine is being finished.

i love doing holiday theme sketches in monochromatic themes. it reminds me of fliers id see in old art books. i think over the course of my career id like to do several for each holiday.
